Kia ora, I’m Alistair — photographer and owner of Alistair Chenery Photography.
I’m based in the Wellington region and specialise in relaxed, candid photography that captures people as they truly are. Whether I’m photographing families, early learning centres, creatives, purpose-driven businesses, or community organisations, my goal is to create natural, meaningful images that feel true to the moment.
My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and focused on real connection — no stiff poses, no awkward smiles, just honest images that reflect people, places, and stories as they are. It brings something a little different to traditional photo days, creating space for genuine moments to unfold naturally.
Alongside working with families and early learning centres, I collaborate with creatives, purpose-driven businesses, and community organisations doing genuinely good work. I love stepping into their world and telling the story behind what they do — the people, the passion, the purpose, and the impact.
